Howell County Commission to Review Tax Adjustments in Upcoming Meeting

The Howell County Commission will hold an open meeting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday in the Commission Room of the Howell County Office Building, located at 35 Court Square, Room 302. The agenda includes a meeting with the county collector to review and approve the collector’s annual settlement, as well as an order concerning tax adjustments for February. Screening Dates Announced for Richards School

In education news, Richards School has revealed the screening dates for the 2026-27 academic year. Both preschool and kindergarten screenings will occur at the Richards Early Childhood Center, located at 3075 Holiday Lane in West Plains. Preschool screenings are scheduled for April 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for children turning four years old by August 3. Meanwhile, kindergarten screenings will take place the following day, April 30, during the same hours for children who will be five by the same date.
