UPDATE: PT Pertamina has just announced a significant increase in fuel prices effective today, March 15, 2026. This adjustment affects various fuel types, including Pertamax and diesel variants, impacting millions of drivers across Indonesia.

The price changes come under the regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Kepmen ESDM) No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022, which revises previous pricing formulas. This news is crucial for consumers as it marks a considerable rise in costs for non-subsidized fuel options.

In the Jabodetabek area, the price of Pertamax has surged to Rp 12,300 per liter, up from Rp 11,800. Pertamax Turbo now costs Rp 13,100, increasing from Rp 12,700. Pertamax Green 95 sees a rise to Rp 12,900, up from Rp 12,450. Diesel prices also reflect this trend, with Dexlite moving to Rp 14,200 from Rp 13,250, and Pertamina Dex rising to Rp 14,500, previously at Rp 13,500.

Despite these increases, the prices for subsidized fuels remain unchanged. Biosolar continues to be offered at Rp 6,800, and Pertalite remains at Rp 10,000, providing some relief to consumers.

This price hike is expected to impact transportation costs, food prices, and overall inflation in the region, raising concerns among citizens and businesses alike. Motorists and families will need to adjust their budgets as fuel costs climb, affecting daily commutes and overall spending.

As the situation develops, consumers are urged to stay informed about any further changes and consider alternative transportation options as fuel prices are expected to influence broader economic trends.

Stay tuned for further updates on this urgent development and how it impacts consumers throughout Indonesia.
