FIBRA Prologis, a prominent owner and operator of Class-A industrial real estate in Mexico, has announced a significant leadership transition. Effective June 30, 2026, Héctor Ibarzábal, the current chief executive officer (CEO), will retire after over three decades with the company. Following his departure, Jorge Girault, who currently serves as the chief financial officer (CFO), will take on the role of CEO starting July 1, 2026.

This strategic succession plan will see Girault reporting to Armando Fregoso, president of Latin America. As CEO, Girault aims to enhance the company’s focus on the Mexican market, emphasizing the delivery of long-term value for investors, employees, and the communities in which the company operates. Alongside Girault, Alexandra Violante, who currently leads Investor Relations, will step into the CFO role on the same date.

Fregoso expressed gratitude towards Ibarzábal for his exceptional leadership, stating, “We are deeply grateful to Héctor for his outstanding leadership and the lasting impact he has made on our business.” He noted that Ibarzábal’s vision has been pivotal in positioning FIBRA Prologis as a leader in logistics real estate in Mexico.

The leadership transition is expected to strengthen FIBRA Prologis’ position in the industry. Girault, with over 30 years of experience in the real estate and financial sectors, has played a crucial role in establishing the company as a leading publicly traded real estate vehicle in Mexico. His tenure includes significant achievements, such as the acquisition of Terrafina, which catapulted FIBRA Prologis into becoming Latin America’s largest industrial real estate company.

Violante brings a robust background in capital markets and investor relations, which Fregoso believes will further support the company’s commitment to transparency and effective financial management. He praised her contributions to the company, stating that her experience has been “critical in supporting long-term growth and value.”

The transition comes as FIBRA Prologis continues to navigate the evolving landscape of the industrial real estate market in Mexico. As of September 30, 2025, the company managed 515 investment properties, encompassing a total of 87 million square feet (approximately 8.1 million square meters). This portfolio includes 348 logistics and manufacturing facilities across six core industrial markets in Mexico, totaling 65.7 million square feet (about 6.1 million square meters) of gross leasable area.

Ibarzábal leaves behind a legacy characterized by operational excellence and a dedicated team focused on serving customers, investors, and communities. Girault affirmed this sentiment, stating, “Hector is an indisputable leader in the sector, and his legacy will continue to help on growing and improving our business.”

The company’s future strategies will rely heavily on the leadership of Girault and Violante as they work to uphold the strong foundation laid by Ibarzábal. FIBRA Prologis is well-positioned to advance its objectives as it prepares for this new chapter under the guidance of its incoming leadership team.

The announcements also included a reminder that statements regarding future performance are subject to uncertainties that could materially affect results. FIBRA Prologis cautioned that while they believe their expectations are based on reasonable assumptions, actual outcomes may differ due to various factors, including changes in economic conditions and competition in the market.

FIBRA Prologis continues to be a key player in the industrial real estate sector, and the upcoming leadership changes signal an ongoing commitment to growth and innovation within the company.
