Bonnie Kate Theater Announces Exciting Winter Film Lineup
The historic Bonnie Kate Theater has officially released its winter movie schedule, featuring a selection of films that will run from January through March 2024. This initiative aims to provide entertainment during the colder months while rekindling nostalgia for audiences.
Kent Edens, president of the Friends of the Bonnie Kate, expressed his intention to curate a lineup that resonates with the chilly season and evokes fond memories. “I want people to revisit their memories of the Bonnie Kate and make everyone aware that the Bonnie Kate is back,” Edens said. He emphasized the joy of families sharing the experience of classic films, stating, “It’s a lot of fun for people to bring their children or even grandchildren to see some of these films that they saw when they were growing up.”
The winter movie schedule includes:
– **January 10** – Frozen
– **January 17** – Clue
– **January 24** – Titanic
– **January 31** – Groundhog Day
– **February 12** – The Shining
– **February 13** – The Princess Bride
– **February 14** – The Princess and the Frog
– **February 21** – Raiders of the Lost Ark
– **February 27** – North by Northwest
– **February 28** – Rear Window
– **March 27** – Steel Magnolias
– **March 28** – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Tickets for each screening are priced at $8 and can be purchased online at bonniekatetheater.org or at the theater’s box office. Edens also confirmed that plans are in place to continue showcasing nostalgic films throughout the year. “We’re back in business; movies will be played here practically every week for 2026,” he stated.
In addition to the film screenings, theater attendees can look forward to a new marquee, expected to be installed by the middle of summer. This development signals a revitalization of the venue, which aims to enhance the community’s cultural offerings. As the Bonnie Kate Theater prepares for a busy winter season, it invites audiences to enjoy a cinematic experience that combines classic storytelling with a sense of community.
