Scientology Celebrates 2026 with Major Achievements and Growth

On January 1, 2026, over 6,500 attendees gathered at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles for a New Year’s celebration hosted by the Church of Scientology. The event marked a year of significant accomplishments and set the stage for what the church anticipates will be an expansive 2026. The evening featured reflections on the past year’s achievements, highlighted by a series of grand openings and successful community initiatives.

Celebrating Achievements of 2025

During the event, David Miscavige, the ecclesiastical leader of Scientology, shared insights into the church’s progress. He emphasized that for Scientologists, the New Year symbolizes a time to reflect on their unique journey rather than merely counting down the seconds. “While the rest of the planet may still be winding down its clocks—we’re here for something else entirely: to see what happens when a full year of Scientology accomplishments is unleashed all at once,” he stated.

One of the standout achievements included a remarkable 11-fold increase in viewership for the Scientology Network since its launch, along with over 170 awards for both creative and technical excellence. Furthermore, the church celebrated a record-breaking milestone of more than one million students enrolled in online courses, illustrating its growing global influence.

The evening also spotlighted several grand openings, starting with the inauguration of an Ideal Org in South Africa’s Eastern Cape. This ten-story building now stands as a landmark in the Nelson Mandela Bay skyline, reflecting the church’s ongoing expansion efforts worldwide.

Impacting Communities Globally

The celebration showcased numerous community initiatives driven by Scientology’s principles. The Association for Better Living and Education (ABLE) reported significant successes in combating societal issues such as drug abuse and illiteracy. In Sonora, Mexico, the Narconon rehabilitation program has provided over 100,000 hours of treatment, leading to the establishment of a dedicated women’s wing due to its effectiveness.

In Kenya, former inmates have taken up the mission to reduce crime and drug use among youth by implementing The Way to Happiness program, resulting in a drastic reduction of drug use in schools from 80 percent to only 5 percent. They also succeeded in cutting recidivism rates by 51 percent, demonstrating the transformative power of the church’s teachings.

Other noteworthy initiatives included educational reforms in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where a teacher trained over 2,000 educators, benefitting more than 80,000 students. These efforts were bolstered by a national partnership aimed at integrating Scientology’s Applied Scholastics study technology into all schools across the nation.

The World Institute of Scientology Enterprises (WISE) also presented impressive results. In the United Kingdom, a WISE member revitalized a struggling gutter cleaning business, expanding it significantly and now providing services to over 125,000 homes annually. Similarly, in Colombia, a logistics expert streamlined trade operations, reducing a typical 35-day import-export process to just three days.

As the evening progressed, Miscavige announced the upcoming opening of an Ideal Org in Puerto Rico, which will be the first in the Caribbean. A preview of the new facility was met with enthusiasm from attendees, who waved Puerto Rican flags, celebrating the anticipated expansion.

The event concluded with the recognition of over 240 Scientologists as Power Field Staff Members, acknowledging their efforts in helping individuals progress on their spiritual journeys. Additionally, 12 individuals were honored as Elite FSMs for assisting more than 1,000 people each.

Looking ahead, Miscavige shared that a new broadcast message, an anthem for the human spirit, is set to premiere during major global events such as Super Bowl LX and the World Cup in 2026. This initiative aims to reach a wider audience than ever before, further extending the church’s influence.

With a focus on the future, Miscavige concluded, “If every Scientologist here tonight moves forward with the certainty of LRH, if every Scientologist here tonight takes the next step and helps another take theirs, then there is no distance we cannot close, no barrier we cannot break and no future beyond our reach.”
